National Adhesives Flyer Presents Corrugating Hybrid Starches for Stronger Bonds

BRIDGEWATER, NJ, February 28, 2008 - A new flyer from National Adhesives
(www.nationaladh.com) provides information on the company's corrugating hybrid
starches, which produce stronger bonds at higher running speeds and create
less waste due to warp than traditional pearl starch adhesives.

These starches are derived from National's specialty high amylose corn
strains, specifically bred to yield starches with greater film formation and
tack than ordinary pearl starch. The strength of high amylose starch allows
operators to run corrugators 50-150 rpm faster than is possible with ordinary
pearl. Because these hybrid starches are also higher in solids, they require
less water, thereby reducing the chance for warping, washboarding and waste.

According to the flyer, National's hybrid starches deliver the additional
benefits of reduced downtime for cleaning based on better flow and less
slinging; increased water resistance and viscosity stability, particularly in
high-shear systems; and simplicity and consistency in starch formulations.

To assist in the selection of the right starch for a particular operation, the
flyer includes a table that compares the performance of the four starches in
National's family of hybrids - OPTAMYL® starch, HY-PURETM starch, EXYLON®
starch, and CORRALON® starch - to each other and to standard pearl starch.
