Nasair Selects Hamilton Sundstrand Service Plan for Its APS2300 APU-Equipped Embraer 190 Aircraft Fleet

LONDON- FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW - Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation has been selected by Nasair to maintain APS2300 APUs installed in its fleet of eight Embraer 190 series aircraft for a period of ten years under a fixed rate flight-hour plan. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

"Hamilton Sundstrand is very excited to extend its partnership with Nasair to include the APS2300 APU," said Eileen Drake, vice president and general manager, Hamilton Sundstrand Auxiliary Power Systems. "Nasair is a fast-growing and important customer in the Middle East, and we are grateful to support the growth of this airline with the APS2300."

Hamilton Sundstrand has delivered more than 825 APS2300 APUs to more than 70 operators for their fleets of Embraer 170/190 series aircraft. The APS2300 APU is designed and produced at the Hamilton Sundstrand Auxiliary Power Systems facility in San Diego, Calif.

Nasair, launched in February 2007, is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A subsidiary of private aviation group, National Air Services (NAS Holding), Nasair has grown exponentially, transporting more than five million customers, now operating over 450 weekly flights. Nasair's fleet consists of 15 aircraft covering 27 destinations both within and outside Saudi Arabia. Nasair also operates Airbus A320s, which are fitted with the Hamilton Sundstrand APS3200 APU.

Hamilton Sundstrand Auxiliary Power Systems, based in San Diego, Calif., currently has more than 13,000 APUs in commercial and military service.

With 2011 revenues of $6.2 billion, Hamilton Sundstrand is headquartered in Windsor Locks, Conn.
