Press release date: November 1, 2007

In response to the consumer electronic mania for remote control devices and automated "smart" systems, Napco has gone to great lengths to provide our end-users with a state-of-the-art bi-directional LCD keyfob that is compatible with all major alarm panel brands. As the industry's first and only two way universal keyfob, Napco takes great pride to manufacture these impeccably designed keyfobs with the help of our expert team of engineers. This one of its kind keyfob comes with an LCD display and integral mini sounder supported by a revolutionary dedicated keyfob receiver. Designed to be compatible with most major control panel brands, including Napco's Gemini and Magnum, and others such as Honeywell, DSC, GE and more. This 2-way keyfob is super-miniaturized for portability yet packs tremendous consumer appeal and sales potential.

Our 2-way universal keyfob displays system status using 8 intuitive icons on the LCD display, and corresponding beep sequences on its mini sounder. The LCD status display shows universal icons such as a closed lock to indicate that the system is armed, a flame indicating a fire alarm and a house to indicate STAY mode. An optional panic button even turns the 2-way keyfob into a personal home security device. By providing identifiable visual and audible feedback, users know with certainly that the system has carried out their commands. In addition to the many standard instructions it can send to the system, our 2-way universal keyfob can control groups of lighting, such as X-10, and/or 2 separate garage doors.

A universal connection will operate on either the panel bus or its keyswitch input depending upon panel brand. With bus connection (e.g. Gemini, Honeywell, etc.) the keyfob uses no zones, and up to 7 keyfobs are independently logged. With keyswitch connection, the keyfob uses one zone for the keyfob and one zone for panic, if desired. Customers have two options upon purchasing our 2-way universal keyfob. Our 2-way universal keyfob kit includes a dedicated 2-way receiver and keyfob. If you require a keyfob only, you can purchase that separately.
