NanGate to Present Joint 28nm Library IP Development Flow at DAC

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – NanGate, Inc. today announced that the company will co-present with SMIC, at the 51st Design Automation Conference, a highly efficient library development flow used for the creation of SMIC's 28nm standard cell library IPs. The joint presentation will take place on Wednesday June 4th, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM-PDT in the Moscone Center, San Francisco, booth #413.

By utilizing NanGate's automated layout development and layout migration tools in combination with the company's kick-start IP, SMIC was able to complete design and layout works of 6 (six) standard cell libraries in less than 6 (six) months. The libraries were created in 7T, 9T and 12T templates with reduced Metal-2 utilization - for increased routability - in both 28nm Poly SiON and 28nm High-K Metal Gate processes.

"Three different libraries were developed for each of their 28nm process variants in less than six months while the process specification was constantly updated.
