NTC America Hosts Open House to Announce Consolidation of Machine Tool Business

Novi, MI - NTC America Corporation, manufacturer of a variety of machine tool, laser and semiconductor equipment hosted an open house to announce the consolidation with Komatsu America Industries, of its machine tool businesses. As of July 1, 2011, handling of all machine tool products such as crankshaft mills which have been handled by Komatsu America Industries will be transferred to NTC America Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Komatsu NTC, Ltd.

Over 100 guests attended the open house, including personnel from OEMs, Tier One Suppliers, dealers and employees. All were provided a tour of NTC America's technical center and enjoyed lunch and refreshments.

According to Ken Fumoto, president of NTC America, "Through this consolidation of machine tool businesses, we are aiming to achieve not only a more complete framework in the field of sales and service, but also to achieve a much shorter response time to fulfill our wide range of customer needs."

This consolidation follows the April 2011 merger announcement of Komatsu NTC Ltd, and Komatsu Machinery Corporation. Through this merger, the two companies integrated technologies and know-how, improved sales and service operations and now offer a broader a range of products.

Among the highlights of the festivities was the attendance by Hiroyuki Horii, Chairman of the Board of Komatsu NTC Ltd. Mr. Horii added, "This consolidation is another step in our storied history. We are determined to make greater efforts in meeting customer expectations." With the consolidation, NTC America's lineup will now include laser systems, transfer machines, grinding machines, machining centers, crankshaft milling machines, turning and broaching machines and wire saw systems.
