ITASCA, Ill., -- The National Safety Council has invited organizations from around the globe to apply for the most prestigious honor in EHS – the 2013 Robert W. Campbell Award. Presented annually, the Campbell Award is given to an organization that integrates environmental, health and safety management into the very core of its business operations and understands that this is critical to its triple bottom line – people, planet and profit. Companies that demonstrate EHS and business excellence are eligible to share their approach by applying for this international honor.

"Campbell Award winners understand that integrating EHS into business operations results in sustained operational excellence," said Janet Froetscher, president and CEO of NSC. "We are able to capture the best practices of our honorees through the development of case studies detailing their continuous improvement process, many of which started on the Journey to Safety Excellence. We can then share these lessons learned in boardrooms and classrooms worldwide."
