January 2008

Simple software upgrade enables existing Secure Wireline Terminal to send and receive classified information.

Product Name: Sectera Wireline Terminal

The National Security Agency (NSA) has certified a software upgrade for the General Dynamics Sectera Wireline Terminal (SWT) devices to fax information that is classified or sensitive but unclassified using commercial, group-three fax machines. With the software upgrade, more than 36,000 SWT and Black Digital Interface (BDI) devices can safely send and receive classified documents without the use of expensive, specialized fax machines. To ensure interoperability, both sending and receiving fax machines must be connected to a SWT/BDI. New SWT and BDI devices can be ordered with the fax capability which, along with the ability to secure voice and data using digital or analog telephones and personal computers, maintains interoperability with Secure Communications Interoperability Protocol (SCIP) devices.

Features: o Single-button switch between classified and unclassified security mode and phone to fax communications modes o High data-rate send/receive o Secure Communications Interoperability Protocol (SCIP)-compliant

Details: o Lightweight, compact size o Low power consumption

Availability: Immediate o Upgrade for existing devices o New Sectera Wireline Terminals and Black Digital Interface devices
