DEARBORN, Mich., April 12, 2006 - The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) announced today that its "Productivity & Lean Integration for Plastics Manufacturing" conference will be held at NPE 2006 (National Plastics Exposition) June 20-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
In today's global marketplace, technology and productivity tools applied to the plastics molding and manufacturing process have become increasingly important for companies to remain competitive and maximize profitability. Eight conference sessions will focus on the latest developments in injection mold technology, mold design and moldmaking, rapid technology, lean manufacturing, and product lifecycle management for the plastics enterprise. Developed for plastics executive and manufacturing management, engineering, and moldmaking management, the conference will provide practical knowledge to support effective technology selection and application.
