NEW - R50H Horizontal Machining Module

SCHAUMBURG, IL, June 26, 2006 - Enshu will be exhibiting the new R50H Horizontal Machining Module at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2006, September 6-13 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Everyone is invited to booth #8242 to see the R50H module in action.

The new R50H module on display features a high torque 4,000 RPM gear driven 25 HP spindle with 16-tool HSK100A automatic tool changer and 31.5" X x 24.8" Y x 24.8" Z travels. The R50H features hardened & ground box guideways and dual ballscrew drives with 1,575 IPM rapids. The module was designed for deployment in Lean Lines, Agile Lines, Flexible Transfer Lines and Standalone applications. The R50H is designed with all axes on the bed side of the machine. Since all the axis movement is behind the spindle, a variety of versions are being developed including B/A (B over A), C/B (C over B), A, and B axis versions, each engineered with the travels optimized for the application. The R50H is also easy to automate. Enshu developed the new R50H for automotive cylinder block and head applications.

The module is based upon Enshu's extensive experience in delivering over 450 block and head systems worldwide. Because of its configuration, the R50H is also a natural on turbine blade applications.
