NEMA Applauds Sutton Nomination to Commerce



ROSSLYN, VA, May 9, 2007-The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) welcomes the Bush administration's announcement of the nomination of Admiral William G. Sutton (Ret.) as U.S. Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing and Services, and urges Congress to confirm the nomination with all possible speed.

"Woody Sutton is an outstanding choice for this critical post, and we're delighted he's been nominated," said NEMA President Evan Gaddis. Sutton retired in February from the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute, where he had served as president for five years following his retirement as a Rear Admiral in the U. S. Navy.
