ND SatCom, Inc.

Plano, TX, 75081
USA

Press release date: February 26, 2008

Friedrichshafen/St. Albans, February 26, 2008 - ND SatCom, an SES ASTRA company, announced today that it will join the Global VSAT Forum's (GVF) VSAT Installer Certification Training Program as knowledge provider and training host. GVF, an international satellite industry non-profit association, offers the only industry-wide certification course for VSAT and broadband terminal installations, consisting of 3 levels (1, 2 and 3S).

After having successfully completed the series of three levels, technicians receive the GVF Advanced VSAT Installer Certification and are listed in GVF's Installer Directory, which at the moment includes hundreds of successful alumni. ND SatCom will be certified to run standard level 3S classroom trainings (Advanced/SCPC VSAT Installation) on behalf of GVF at certain locations.

In addition, ND SatCom will be collaborating with SatProf and GVF on the development of a new online 'Level 3ND' course, which will take technicians through the process of installing ND SatCom's SkyWAN® VSAT platform. This course will be integrated into the GVF Certification training program and will be prepared and administered by SatProf, Inc., based in the USA. ND SatCom has adapted the contents of its VSAT training so that technicians, who have already completed GVF's Level 1 and 2 courses, can seamlessly continue with training for ND SatCom's SkyWAN® platform.

Johann Pohany, CTO of ND SatCom, states: "With its VSAT training program, the GVF sets a global industry standard for installers. We see the course as highly beneficial for the participants in terms of knowledge sharing and quality assurance." David Hartshorn, Secretary General of the GVF, points out that over the past 18 months more than 800 students have begun to engage the GVF training program: "At the same time, nearly 400 technicians have progressed to Level 3 and are now certified VSAT installers. Industry feedback has shown that after attending the complete course, installation errors and site re-visits were considerably reduced."
