Technological Experience Makes NCP a Best-in-Class Provider for Watchguard
NUREMBERG, Germany and SEATTLE, November 15 -- NCP engineering GmbH, a German provider of communications solutions and Watchguard Technologies, a global provider of network security solutions, have formed a strategic OEM alliance. Under their agreement, NCP will supply Watchguard with VPN client software to replace the current "Mobile User VPN" client.

NCP Secure Client is a communication package designed for universal application in any remote access VPN environment. It offers comprehensive security functions: IPSec tunnelling, encryption using AES or 3-DES, expanded authentification (Xauth, EAP), support for digital certificates and hardware tokens, an integrated stateful inspection firewall with situation-dependent firewall rules and "friendly net detection" for automatic recognition of secure and non-secure networks. The client also has an automatic, secure WLAN log-in while the matching profile for the current WLAN is activated in the background, e.g. at the hotspot.
