NACD and ICIS Announce Partnership for Chemical Distributor Magazine

ARLINGTON, Va. -- The National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) and ICIS announced a new partnership today stating, "Beginning February 2013, ICIS will produce NACD's Chemical Distributor magazine."  To be distributed to the NACD membership on a quarterly basis, ICIS will enhance the editorial and production elements of the Chemical Distributor while maintaining its focus on issues pertinent to the chemical distribution industry as a whole.  The newly produced magazine will provide insight and updates on key customer segments, market pressures, government programs and legislation/regulation, and general business matters relevant to the membership and industry.

This partnership expands an over-five year relationship between NACD and ICIS. ICIS is the official Media Sponsor of NACD, and for the last 5 years has published the NACD Annual Meeting Supplement, a special publication released immediately following the NACD Annual Meeting each year.

"This partnership will fortify an industry trusted resource," said NACD President Chris Jahn. "As the leading market intelligence provider in the chemical industry, ICIS brings a wealth of expertise in delivering vital industry information to its subscribers.  I am confident this will greatly enhance the value the Chemical Distributor brings to our members."

The Chemical Distributor magazine has a subscription base of 1600 but hits a much wider circulation through redistribution within NACD member companies' employee ranks.  It has been published for 36 years and provides the NACD membership with news and insights on government advocacy, Responsible Distribution, management and leadership topics.

NACD and its over 400 member companies are vital to the chemical supply chain providing products to over 750,000 end users. They make a delivery every six seconds while maintaining a safety record that is more than twice as good as all manufacturing combined. NACD members are leaders in health, safety, security, and environmental performance through implementation of Responsible Distribution, established in 1991 as a condition of membership and a third-party verified management practice.
