MUSKEGO, WISCONSIN... NABCO Entrances Inc. a leading manufacturer of automatic sliding, swing and folding doors and sensors has become a registered provider of accredited Continuing Education Programs offered through the American Institute of Architects. Currently Mandatory Continuing Education is required in 30 states and 10 Canadian Provinces in order to retain a license to practice in that state or province. Each state or province has the legal right to establish its own requirements. Currently most of these states accept AIA Continuing Education Credits toward their requirement.
The program offered by NABCO Entrances covers the selection and specification of Automatic Doors to meet most applications. The comprehensive program includes types of doors and activators, glazing and hardware, ADA requirements, ANSI and BHMA standards in detail, safety, security, and specialty applications. The program earns participating Architects one Learning Unit (LU) plus one Health, Safety and Welfare Unit (HSW) for this 50-minute program. Typically the program is presented in the training room at the Architect's Firm over the lunch hour with lunch served to the attendees. Arrangements can also be made with a local hotel.
