Murata Power Solutions and Lineage Power Sign Licensing Agreement for Tunable Loop(TM) Products
Murata Power Solutions has signed a new licensing agreement for Lineage Power's Tunable Loop(TM) products. The important agreement between the two companies will enable Murata Power Solutions to manufacture and offer two product series that feature the innovative new technology. As the largest supplier of board mounted power solutions and with an extensive reach both directly and through its distribution network, Murata Power Solutions will be able to support applications for the exciting new products worldwide.
In a rapidly developing market for point-of-load (PoL) power, the Tunable Loop feature allows users to optimize the dynamic response of a PoL to match the customer's specific load requirements. Specifically, it facilitates the ability to start into highly capacitive loads which is a key performance need for a modern DC/DC Converter. This reduces the quantity, type and size of the capacitors required for any given application. The technology also enables a high level of product consolidation and offers cost and performance advantages over alternative solutions and technologies.
