Munters Moisture Control Services Names Kolak President U.S., Canada

August 16, 2010 - Elvir Kolak has been named president for United States and Canada operations for Moisture Control Services (MCS), a division of Munters AB, to provide overall responsibility for the leadership of the division and its more than 200 employees. MCS' global division offers complete services for water and fire damage restoration and remediation, and for temporary climate control in construction, industrial, surface preparation and coating, and preservation applications.

Kolak's duties will include directing financial performance, operations, sales and marketing, and people management and development. He will be based in Amesbury, Mass., one of Munters' U.S. corporate offices.

Kolak, 39, has 15 years of management experience with MCS, most recently serving as business unit manager - Australia. Prior posts included area president Asia, area president central and managing director Germany, and area president continental Europe.

Munters AB, a publicly owned company, based in Stockholm, Sweden, announced earlier this summer an agreement to divest division MCS to Triton, a leading private equity firm. The divestiture is scheduled to take place later this year.

"Elvir has a strong understanding of the MCS division and in-depth experience in our industry, ideal attributes to lead the MCS team in North America," said Morten Andreasen, president of the MCS Division. "He brings to the position a strong sales and operational focus, a robust understanding of the large and small claims business, and superb people management skills."

"MCS has a strong reputation in the U.S. and Canada due to the highly experienced and technical skill level of our personnel, innovative equipment and our expertise in total climate control," said Kolak. "I look forward to helping MCS increase its footprint and service offerings in North America by fostering more customer agreements, increasing our national accounts, and through expansion of our residential services programs."

Kolak lived and studied in the United States for many years. He received a bachelor's degree in business and marketing from Defiance College in Ohio and also studied at the University of Pittsburgh.
