Addresses Key Pain Points for Cyber Security and IPv6 Migration

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 2, 2010 -- Mu Dynamics, Inc. (www.mudynamics.com), the leader in testing next-generation network services, today announced its expansion into the federal government to address the needs and challenges facing government agencies. Mu Dynamics' easily deployable testing solutions provide a comprehensive solution for the key requirements identified around information assurance, cyber security and IPv6 migration. Interested parties can find detailed information on Mu Dynamic's government solution here.

Enabling Mu Dynamics' expansion in the federal marketplace is Greg McDermott, Mu Dynamic's new director of federal operations. McDermott brings more than 19 years of federal sales experience to Mu Dynamics, where his primary role will be to further build and maintain an already-successful federal effort.

Mu Dynamics has also formed an alliance with Four Points Technology, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business dedicated to providing IT products and professional services to the federal government. Through this alliance, Four Points Technology will represent Mu Dynamics' full suite of products on its GSA schedule and NASA SEWP contracts.

The Mu solutions are already in use by numerous federal agencies, including the U.S. Air Force Information Operations Center (AFIOC), U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command Technology Integration Center (TIC), U.S. Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) and numerous intelligence agencies.

"The U.S. government has placed a clear priority on information assurance and cyber security practices, as well as definitive timeframes for the transition to IPv6," said Dave Kresse, CEO, Mu Dynamics." Our unique solution is ideally suited for inclusion in information assurance, certification and accreditation testing, and cyber security. It also helps accelerate and ensure the quality of the migration of mission-critical services to IPv6."

The Mu Test Suite is a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solution that supports automated testing for various types of federal certification and assurance (C&A), including DIACAP, NIACAP, and NIST SP 800 series. With the Mu solution, agencies can implement automated testing processes supporting information assurance and cyber security, and verify the security posture of government information systems. Additionally, Mu Dynamics has the unique capability to help analyze the compatibility and interoperability of the computing environments of information systems including core enterprise services, web-based software systems and applications.

Mu also offers federal customers the Mu Test Suite for IPv6. This test suite enables agencies to quickly and efficiently test for interoperability, resiliency and security as they transition from IPv4 to IPv6. The U.S. federal government for many years has been a leader in establishing benchmarks and timelines in advance of the exhaustion of IPv4 addresses. A recent mandate now requires agencies to upgrade their public-facing services to operationally use native IPv6 by September 30, 2012.

"As the leading testing provider for IPv6, information assurance, cyber security, mobile and next-generation network services, Mu Dynamics already has a respectable customer base in the federal market," said Greg McDermott, director of federal operations. "I look forward to working with the Mu Dynamics team to ensure that the benefits of our solutions are realized throughout the government."
