Partnership between Movius and Colibria Enables Mobile Operators to Create their own IM Communities for Greater Brand Equity and New Revenue Streams
ATLANTA, Feb. 8 - Movius Interactive Corporation, a global leader in messaging, collaboration and mobile media solutions, introduced Mobile Instant Messaging (IM) today, the latest in a series of offerings to join its family of applications for the interactive mobile media market. Through a strategic partnership with Colibria, the leading global provider of mobile instant messaging (MIM) and Presence-enabled solutions, Movius provides mobile operators a new application that drives incremental revenue, customer retention and brand equity.
Subscribers around the globe are adopting presence-based mobile messaging, both from mobile versions of established PC based IM experiences like MSN, Yahoo Messenger or GoogleTalk as well as from mobile carriers branding their own IM communities where PC penetration is low. Using Colibria's technology, Movius' Mobile IM solution addresses both the mobilization of PC-based IM services as well as carrier branded IM communities.
