Press release date: February 22, 2010

Auxerre, France - Mouvex®, a leading manufacturer of eccentric disc pumps and an operating company within Dover Corporation's Pump Solutions Group (PSG(TM)), announced today that it's A-Series Eccentric Disc Pumps have been designed to easily adapt to chemicals that are viscous, non-lubricating, volatile or delicate. Such applications are found in numerous chemical processing plants that manufacture products such as detergents, glues, inks and paints.

Mouvex's A-Series pumps can meet these challenges through their eccentric-disc design, which results in exceptional self-priming and pipe-clearing capabilities, even when running dry. This eccentric-disc principle of operation, which includes an automatic make-up system, also allows the pumps to maintain their initial performance level without the need for adjustments. The pumps are so versatile that even if the viscosity of the fluid changes considerably, they are able to maintain a regular and constant output, independent of the delivery pressure.

Optional features for the A-Series pumps include a double-bypass for protection when the pump is operating in both directions, a high-temperature HT model that enables product transfer up to 250°C (482°F) and heating or cold jackets for transferring products that can solidify at ambient temperatures. The A-Series is also ATEX certified and can run dry in such environments.
