Nuclear Quality Assurance Plan

FARMINGTON, CT, Oct 2010 - Mott Corporation, the leading producer of porous metal products and filters, announces it's most recent quality achievement in becoming ASME NQA-1 compliant. This Standard provides requirements and guidelines for the establishment and execution of quality assurance programs during design, construction, operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. NQA-1 is an ASME safety driven Standard.

Mott Corporation has supplied filtration elements and systems that perform mission critical filtration and separations of highly radioactive liquid waste. The properties of porous metal offer the customer a highly-durable, dependable, and robust product. Its performance sustains itself under very demanding operating conditions over extended periods of times. Gary Kersteen, Mott's Director of Quality Programs, added "Because of the critical nature of these applications, Mott has added NQA-1 capability to our quality program, and now is in a better position to meet the needs of the nuclear industry".
