Motorola Appoints Casey Keller As Chief Marketing Officer


SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Motorola, Inc.
(NYSE: MOT) announced today that Kenneth C. "Casey" Keller, Jr. has been
appointed executive vice president and chief marketing officer, effective
October 23, 2006. In this role, Keller will be responsible for developing,
implementing and overseeing Motorola's global marketing efforts. Keller will
report directly to Ed Zander, Motorola's chairman and CEO.

As chief marketing officer, Keller will be responsible for overseeing
corporate-wide marketing, strategy development and execution, agency
management, public relations and media outreach, internal marketing, marketing
communications (including advertising, promotions and events), web/interactive
marketing, sponsorships, entertainment and market research.

Keller most recently served as chairman and CEO of Heinz Italy, where he
led a successful turnaround and revitalization of Heinz's leading position in
Infant Feeding and Medical Food in Italy. Previously, Keller was the chief
growth officer for H.J. Heinz Company with responsibility for defining the
strategy and key initiatives to drive profitable, topline growth and
strengthening the focus and plans on the company's top brands. Prior to that
role, Keller was managing director of Heinz's U.S. Ketchup, Condiments &
Sauces (KC&S) business and Global Category Leader, Sauces & Condiments. He
led the KC&S business through a period of strong growth including building
Heinz Ketchup's share +10 points. In 2001, Keller was named Grand Marketer of
the Year by Brandweek magazine for the turnaround and growth of Heinz Ketchup.

Prior to Heinz, Keller spent almost ten years at the Procter & Gamble
Company, where he was responsible for Pringles, Duncan Hines and other leading
consumer brands. As Director of Marketing and Global Development for the
Snacks category, Keller managed the Pringles brand during worldwide expansion
into over 40 countries and built Pringles into the fastest-growing P&G brand
at that time.

Keller received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Cornell
University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Harvard
Business School.
