Press release date: March 4, 2014

Birmingham, Ala. – Motion Industries, a leading distributor of industrial maintenance, repair, and operation (MRO) replacement parts, has released a new hydraulic-focused video on their “MiHow2” series of product/application solutions.  The instructive video series’ goal is to share practical industrial applications that viewers can adapt in their own facilities.

Eaton, a leading manufacturer of energy-efficient electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power products and a Motion Industries key supplier, helped to create the video, “How to Set a Pressure-Reducing Valve in a Hydraulic System.”  The demonstration unit shown in the video, featuring Eaton’s VickersŪ brand, is also regularly used in hands-on training classes conducted by the Motion Institute.  The video can be viewed online at

“The video demonstrates proper installation and adjustment of the pressure reducing valve, which is needed to operate two pressures in the same system,” said Randy Breaux, Motion Industries’ Senior VP of Marketing, Product Management, Strategic Planning.   “It’s important to accurately match the pressure requirements of the application.”

Each MiHow2 video was filmed in a workshop setting, and features the Motion Industries host with a guest from one of the market-leading industrial manufacturers demonstrating a product or application.  The series is also available for viewing via Facebook and YouTube.  Additional MiHow2 videos are scheduled to be posted in coming weeks.

With annual sales of $4.5 billion, Motion Industries is a leading industrial parts distributor of bearings, mechanical power transmission, electrical and industrial automation, hydraulic and industrial hose, hydraulic and pneumatic components, industrial products, safety products, and material handling.  Motion Industries has over 550 operations including 15 distribution centers throughout North America and serves more than 150,000 customers from the food and beverage, pulp and paper, iron and steel, chemical, mining and aggregate, petrochemical, automotive, wood and lumber, and pharmaceutical industries.
