Motion Control Technical Conference and Showcase Investigates New Markets



Chicago, Ill. - June 29, 2009 -The Motion Control Technical Conference and Showcase is the premier event for those in the power transmission/ motion control (PT/MC) industry to learn about motion control trends and technologies. Sponsored jointly by the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) and the FPDA Motion + Control Network, the conference will be held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront on Oct. 22-23, 2009.

The conference offers owners, managers and technical specialists driving the motion control business a glimpse into a segment of the motion control industry. The conference will feature four unique technical speakers:
  • Trends in Motion Control, presented by Rudy Hauser, manager of channel development for motion control of Siemens Energy & Automation.
  • Motion Control and Drives: A Look into the World Market, presented by Alex Chausovsky, research manager of IMS Research.
  • The Solutions Triangle: Customer, Systems Integrator and Distributor, presented by Robert Lowe, executive director of Control Systems Integrators Association (CSIA).
  • Complete Machine Automation through Motion Control, presented by Joe Rubino, product marketing manager of Omron Electronics Inc.

    The Motion Control Technical Conference will also feature a presentation by Frank Hurtte of River Heights Consulting. Using the research compiled during the publication of his book, The Distributor Specialist: Customer Champion, Profit Generator!, Frank will discuss how specialists are used in other industries, what others have learned, the subtle differences in the way upper-quartile distributors apply specialists and how to establish a specialist process.

    The conference will close with the Motion Control Showcase. The Showcase will feature products on the leading edge of the technology wave with live demonstrations of the latest hardware by manufacturers of precision motion control products.
