MoreMagic selected as Mobile Money technology partner following successful pilot with Voilą and Mercy Corps
Waltham MA, USA - December 13th, 2010. MoreMagic Solutions, a mobile commerce and financial services solutions provider, today announced that it is the technology partner behind the first mobile money service in Haiti. The launch of the service by Voilą and Unibank last week follows a successful nine month pilot which provided international relief and development agency, Mercy Corps, with a secure and cost effective way of distributing money across Haiti to support reconstruction efforts.
T-Cash, which is enabled by MoreMagic Solutions' industry-leading Mobile Commerce and Financial Services (MCFS) technology platform, MCFS:Suite(TM), is bringing the benefits of basic financial services to hundreds of thousands of people in Haiti for the first time. With T-Cash's electronic wallet, Voila customers can now make peer-to-peer money transfers, pay bills and receive payments. Funds received can be converted into cash, or used to purchase items such as food and shelter materials.
