Monitor and Alarm Food Storage with WiFi Capability

Wireless Data Loggers Protect Perishable Inventories This Summer

CHESTERLAND OH - This summer, record temperatures pose a daily threat to perishable foods in storage, and many companies' products have already spoiled by relying only on manual methods to check their temperature-sensitive inventories. CAS DataLoggers and Lascar are now offering the EasyLog WiFi Temperature & Humidity Data Loggers, low-cost automated solutions for monitoring and alarming temperature and humidity. Help prevent further product loss today!

Utilizing WiFi communication, these devices measure the surrounding temperature and humidity, sending the data over a WiFi network to a PC where it can be viewed using the free software package. During configuration, the sensor will search for an existing wireless network while physically connected to the PC. It can then be placed anywhere within range of the network, and if the sensor temporarily loses connectivity, it will keep logging readings until it is able to communicate again with the PC application (max 60 days at 10 second sample interval). Additionally, the range of the sensor can be increased by using WiFi extenders.

These low-power data loggers monitor temperatures from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F) and immediately register alarm breaches on their integrated displays and the PC screen by audible alert and visual indications. USB connection and simple functionality make it easy for personnel to check readings and set alarms. The display gives the max/min temperature and RH readings, a low battery indicator, and the configurable high and low alarms. Users can also view the strength of the WiFi signal to find the best sensor placement. Discreet and compact, these dataloggers are 802.11b-compliant and stay upright on any horizontal surface, also including a wall bracket for best placement.

Using an internal lithium battery, the WiFi temp/RH combination recorders can keep logging for over a year, and the battery is then rechargable via PC or a USB +5V wall adapter using the included micro USB lead. Each device can record over 500,000 data set entries, and if the WiFi network is lost, it will automatically store readings to internal memory until it is able to communicate with the PC application again. Once the network is restored, it will then upload all readings to the PC.

It's easy to setup the sensor using the FREE PC software which performs set-up, data logging and data review. Features include sensor name, choice of °C/°F, user-selectable sample rate, and high/low alarms. Users can view and analyze multiple sensors using the PC application with all devices viewable simultaneously on the host PC. Once configured, historic data can be viewed via the graphing tool or exported into Excel.
