Press release date: February 15, 2006

Barcelona, Spain, February 15th - MobiComp, a leading mobile computing and wireless solutions provider announced today at the 3GSM World Congress a new collaboration with Sun Microsystems that targets the Spanish mobile telecommunications market.

The collaboration aims to market a MobileKeeper(TM) joint-solution for a comprehensive over the air mobile backup solution for mobile communications operators and service providers in the Spanish market. The joint solution enables operators and service providers to build an effective service for customer "disaster recovery", content management and storage, that reinforces the customer relationship, increases customer satisfaction and retention levels, and leads to increased GPRS/UMTS traffic; increased ARPU (usage fee per event/monthly) and increased brand awareness.

In this era of convergence, the success of service providers will hinge on the constant introduction of new and innovative services to attract new customers and promote loyalty among existing ones. "With this opportunity, today's service providers also face a dilemma: the cost of changing the business to accommodate a new service often outweighs the perceived revenue opportunities," said Miguel García-Maeso, Sales Manager, Telecommunications and Media markets, Sun Microsystems Iberia. "With a history of delivering carrier-grade hardware, software and services to the telecommunications industry, Sun is well-positioned to help telecommunication firms make sound technology decisions to benefit their businesses."

Enables operators and service providers to build an effective service for customer "disaster recovery", content management and storage Already in use in the European market, and currently on trial on a number of European and Asian mobile communications operators MobiComp's MobileKeeper(TM) is a solution that enables operators, service providers and other businesses, to guarantee to subscribers the automatic safekeeping, updating and restoring of the growing volumes of valuable information, contents and applications stored on their mobile phones.
