Misumi to Present Configuration Tech Seminars at ATX Canada

Free, Interactive Seminars Offer Design Engineers Practical Solutions for Saving Time and Costs Using Configured Components in Machine and Automation System Design.

Schaumburg, IL ‒  MISUMI USA, Inc., a subsidiary of MISUMI Corporation, part of MISUMI Group, Inc. (Tokyo: 9962), announced that it will present its Configuration Technical Seminars at ATX Canada 2013, May 14-16 in Toronto. Entitled “Designing a Better Machine Faster with the Configurable Component,” the free interactive seminars will be offered daily from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Sutherland 4 and 5 meeting rooms on the main level adjacent to the exhibit hall.

In the afternoon, MISUMI’s team of engineers will be available in the same location, offering technical and product briefings, hands-on demonstrations of the company’s new Web search options, and one-on-one application consultations. Complimentary refreshments will be served all day. In addition, all attendees to the seminars will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of Bose® Quiet Comfort® Headphones, with one pair awarded on each day of the show.

Cornel Luca, a MISUMI design support engineer based in Canada, will lead the Configuration Tech Seminars at ATX. Mr. Luca has over 15 years of professional design experience in industrial automation. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, his expertise encompasses design of automation cells, assembly systems and robot tooling, as well as production machinery for the automotive, solar, medical and pharmaceutical industries.

“I had used MISUMI components for several years before joining the company and, knowing the advantage of configurable components, I am convinced that MISUMI can assist design engineers with our full line of machined products, such as rotary and linear shafts, locating pins, bearing supports, linear actuators, linear guides and precision stages. In addition, you can download CAD models and instantly view pricing and delivery information,” states Mr. Luca.

Mr. Luca continues, “Our configuration seminars are designed to show design engineers how they can dramatically increase productivity and reduce costs by specifying precision-made configurable components for their industrial machine and automation system designs.” For the afternoon sessions, Mr. Luca will be joined by MISUMI’s engineering team to answer questions and provide design assistance.
