Schaumburg, IL-MISUMI USA, Inc. announces updates to its automation components and web ordering sites. Functional improvements include updates to its search engine and order processing systems, including a new quick order feature. These updates are a result of direct customer feedback and demonstrate a commitment to improving the operability and overall flow of the sites. Updated Feature #1: Improved Search
This update has improved the quality of the search engine, as well as its look and feel. Users can now search by a keyword or a part number. Search results are then shown in easy-to-understand photos and text. In addition, many product offerings include the schematics, so product shapes can be easily identified.
Updated Feature #2: Quick Ordering
MISUMI publishes pricing in all its catalogs, so quotations are not always necessary for many users. With that, MISUMI added the new quick ordering feature which allows the user to skip the quotation process and go directly to the "order components" process. Simply log-in to the web ordering system and a horizontal navigation menu will appear with an "Order Now" option.
Updated Feature #3: Excel Copy and Paste
The site contains an upload feature that allows users to take existing bill of materials and upload the data into the request for quotation page. In addition to the CSV fixed format, MISUMI added a copy and paste option. Users can now open an Excel file, copy the content and paste it directly into the site, allowing for an even easier way to obtain quotations. Using the quick ordering feature, MISUMI components can be ordered in just a few minutes.
