Press release date: January 31, 2007

JERUSALEM, January 31// -- Minicom Advanced Systems, one of the world leaders in digital signage, today publicly launched its digital signage blog. Located at minicom.blogspot.com, the blog is dedicated to happenings in the world of digital signage. Its aim is to become a central location for digital signage-related news, discussion, industry chatter and events summary; where people come to find out about and discuss what is happening in digital signage.

Minicom, one of the most respected names in digital signage, will be using its expertise and knowledge to be an impartial and objective voice about what is occurring in the world of digital signage. The blog will not be focusing solely on Minicom news and events but anything of note that is related to digital signage. The launch of the digital signage blog coincides with Screen Expo 2007 in London from where Minicom will be live-blogging.

Recent reports announced that by the end of the decade, the North American market for digital signage will be worth more than $3 billion. Currently the digital signage market represents some $750 million annually. Out of home media is becoming more and more widespread with digital signage responsible for most of it.

"The Minicom digital signage blog combines two technological developments which are becoming more and more prevalent in everyday life," Eran Kessel, Minicom Vice-President of Marketing says. "Blogs are an effective and valuable means for allowing companies to communicate to the outside world in a more informal way and digital signage has gone from recent innovation to common occurrence."

Visitors are welcome to visit the digital signage blog and post comments.
