Press release date: May 30, 2006

ZURICH, Switzerland, May 30/PRNewswire/ -- Mincom Advanced Systems, a leading manufacturer of KVM solutions for managing IT servers and devices today announced the launch of its new European training center. Based in the Swiss city of Dubendorf, near Zurich, the new state-of-the-art facility is designed to answer the rising European demand for Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) systems, enabling better IT efficiency in the workplace.

The changing nature of IT spending in Europe documented by market researchers has led to considerable pressure on IT departments to support business goals more efficiently. KVM solutions for out-of-band server management, of which Minicom is a pioneer manufacturer and supplier, are ideal tools for reducing enterprise costs and improving the efficiency of an organization's business model. KVM systems can significantly reduce space, diminish energy costs and make server management more effective. Market indicators show demand for KVM solutions in Europe are expected to reach well over US$200 million in 2007 with significant CAGR of 10% (VDC market forecast,2005).

"The new European training center is Minicom's answer to the growth in KVM demand, and will provide extensive technical support and sales infrastructure for training, demonstration, and proof-of-concept", said Ronni Guggenheim, President of Minicom Europe. "Due to the importance of our indirect sales channels, the new center will also provide partner, reseller and end-user training, including weekly seminars, hands-on instruction, and a virtual demo center. The launch of the new center highlights Minicom's growing success in the European market and I believe this is because our customers and partners recognize that we pay attention to their needs, and then do our very best to fulfill them, above and beyond expectation."
