On 11 and 12 May 2011 Mikron Automation invited customers and partners to Boudry for its Technology Days. The event was an opportunity to find out more about current market trends as well as Mikron Automation's strategy. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the unveiling of two new product developments. The first was the Pilot EcoLine(TM), the as-yet smallest version of the EcoLine(TM) automation platform, the second the new generation of control system developed by Mikron, which is based on the B+R industrial PC. Customer applications were used to give visitors live on-the-spot demonstrations of a large number of modules from the current G05(TM) and EcoLine(TM) product platforms.
Representatives of Uhlmann Pac Systeme, 3P Innovation and Schunk gave a series of talks on current topics from the automation sector, while the renowned ETH professor Lino Guzzella gave a highly acclaimed lecture entitled "The car of the future - the future of the car".
