Mikolajczak Named Product Line Manager, ABB Automation Products, Low-Voltage Drives


NEW BERLIN, Wis., August 3, 2004 . . . Michael Mikolajczak (pronounced
"Michael-logic") has been named a product line manager for ABB Automation Products, Low Voltage Drives, according to Cliff Cole, director of marketing, ABB Low Voltage Drives.

Mikolajczak is responsible for the growth, strategic planning and lifecycle management of the ACS50, ACS150, ACS350 and ACS550 AC drive product lines.
Innovative features such as FlashDrop technology, sequence programming, flexible user interface and cabinet-compatible hardware in ABB's new line of micro drives are ideal to help original equipment manufactures optimize the machines they build; and the drives make is very very easy to repeat production quickly - which minimizes installation and start-up times for users. And the ACS150/350 drives offer a full horsepower range, from 0.5 - 10HP.

Most recently, Mikolajczak provided business marketing consultancy to global companies based in the U.S. and Asia. Before that, he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and product management while working for General Electric, Holt Electric and, most recently, Eaton--Cutler-Hammer. He combines unique experience in sales and a perspective from the needs of electrical distribution.

"We know his experience and perspective will contribute further to the growth of our Industrial Distributor strategy to reach more and more customers throughout North America with ABB's automaton solutions," said Cole. Mikolajczak will be responsible directly for the product line P&L, Cole noted.Mikolajczak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
