Mike Keeler Tabbed to Lead Hendrickson International Operations

ITASCA, Ill. - Mike Keeler assumed duties as vice president of international operations for Hendrickson and Mike Gottschalk succeeded Keeler as general manager of Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle Systems.
"Mike Keeler's appointment allows us to coordinate our global operations, sales and product development while integrating our joint venture in India more effectively with our U.S. based divisions," reported Gary Gerstenslager, Hendrickson president and chief operating officer, in announcing the promotions.
Reporting to Keeler will be Andrew Ward, managing director for Hendrickson Europe; Andrew Martin, managing director for Hendrickson Asia Pacific, and Bill Wilson, executive director for advanced technology.
Keeler joined the engineering department of the truck division in 1981. After moving to Fruehauf Trailers for several years, he returned to Hendrickson as director of engineering for the Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems at Canton, Ohio, in 1988.
In 1995 he assumed leadership of the newly formed auxiliary axle systems business unit in Hebron, Ohio.
A licensed professional engineer, he holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Mich.
As general manager of Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle, Gottschalk directs a senior management team with responsibility for management of the independent division. He reports to Steve Andrews, vice president and general manager of Hendrickson Truck Suspension Systems.
Joining Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems in 1988, Gottschalk held various positions beginning in engineering and expanding to operations. He has made significant contributions in the establishment, growth and product development of the auxiliary axle division. His high level of commitment makes him well suited for this new role.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Mount Vernon, Ohio, and holds two associate degrees from Pittsburgh Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, Pa.
