IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition Adheres to the Adage, "Be Global, Stay Local"

BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, May 8, 2009 - Considering the current state of the economy, companies are searching for business solutions that save time, energy and money. Bringing the best of the global electronics industry together in one place, at one time, IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition will be held September 23-24, 2009, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center, Schaumburg, Ill. Standards meetings and professional development courses will be offered September 20-24.

Launched in 2007, IPC Midwest was developed as the electronics industry's answer to a regional cost-effective and time-saving show that would provide relevance to industry members from the first step into the convention center, and throughout the exhibit floor and event. This year's event will feature a state-of-the-art exhibition, technical conference sessions with a focus on quality and reliability, well-developed professional development courses, more than 80 standards development meetings, as well as special events: free forums, a free opening session and a show floor reception.

Back by popular demand, IPC will once again sponsor the A-Line, a working assembly line featured on the show floor. Equipment on the A-Line will be used to demonstrate state-of-the-art surface mount assembly, while on-site experts detail the A-Line's processes and equipment.

"For a third consecutive year, IPC Midwest will bring the global electronics industry to a regional locale, with the goal of attracting focused, qualified participants looking to either showcase their new technologies, conduct business on the show floor, or gain solutions to current industry challenges," said Maria Labriola, IPC manager of trade show sales. She added, "We're currently right on target to host 100 exhibitors on our comprehensive show floor."
