Microsoft TV to Discuss Power of New Connected TV Experiences at CONNECTIONS(TM) Europe Keynote

DALLAS, October 23/ -- Parks Associates and CEAŽare pleased to announce Andreas Mueller-Schubert, General Manager, Global Solutions, Microsoft TV, Microsoft Corporation, as the opening keynote of CONNECTIONS(TM) Europe: Strategies for Digital Living Markets.

Mr. Mueller-Schubert's keynote, "Embracing IPTV Services and Deployment," will take place on Tuesday, December 4, 3:25-4:10 p.m. (15h25-16h10). He will focus on the role of IPTV in the development of converged communications and entertainment services. His expert insight will also offer a glimpse into the evolution of television into a new category of connected TV services, powered by IPTV technologies and characterized by interactive features and services and new entertainment experiences.

"When we take a look at the momentum of IPTV service deployments today, we see a clear path for a transformed TV experience that is connected in many ways to your life," Mueller-Schubert said. "IPTV technologies have been instrumental in creating new business opportunities for service providers, and this will continue to be the case as consumer demand for connected TV continues to grow."

CONNECTIONS(TM)Europe, produced by Parks Associates in partnership with CEA, is an executive conference focused on the global market for advanced digital lifestyle solutions. The second annual event will be held December 4-6, 2007, in Berlin, Germany, at the Adlon Kempinski.

Parks Associates reports there were 4.5 million residential IPTV subscribers worldwide in 2006 and that number will grow to nearly 60 million by year-end 2011.
