Columbus, OH: Following an intensive supplier evaluation, Deutsche Post World Net (DPWN), an international provider of logistics services, has entered into a long-term global framework agreement with Mettler Toledo, a precision instrumentation company.
Mettler Toledo will utilize its range of solutions including weighing and dimensioning systems and barcode identification of parcels and pallets, in order to help DPWN standardize equipment within its operations hubs. The contract has been signed for an initial period of 10 years, subject to satisfactory performance.
DPWN, the parent company of DHL, says it chose Mettler thanks to their wide range of measurement technology solutions and experience within the transport and logistics arena. The solutions that are developed by Mettler will lead to process and cost benefits and will be standardized and implemented throughout DPWN.
