BLACKWOOD, N.J., Jan. 11 -- Metrologic Instruments, Inc. announced today it will launch four products engineered to provide high performance bar-code scanning solutions at the National Retail Federation's (NRF) 96th Annual Convention and Expo held at the Javits Center (Booth #1437) in New York starting January 15, 2007.
Below is a list of just some of the products Metrologic will show: 1. the Stratos series of multi-sided, bioptic scanner/scales featuring the new exclusive Mettler Toledo DIVA dual interval scale 2. the MS1633 FocusBT wireless hand-held area imager 3. the IS1890 FocusIND rugged hand-held area imager (available second quarter 2007) 4. the SP5600 OptimusR rugged batch-data mobile computer
Metrologic's Stratos series features the industry's only fully integrated, dual interval retail scanner/scale solution. The DIVA dual interval scale supports both weight-only and price-computing applications. These features enable retailers to easily create global standards for their POS systems.
The StratosH scanner/scale can be integrated into Fujitsu's U-Scan self- checkout system which is also on display at Metrologic's booth.
Both the FocusBT and the FocusIND provide multi-dimensional bar code scanning solutions. They build on the success of MS1690 Focus, the industry's leading hand-held area imager.
Regardless of orientation, FocusBT and FocusIND feature Metrologic's patented FirstFlash technology which increases efficiency by decoding most standard bar codes in a single pass.
Designed for retail applications, FocusBT incorporates the freedom of Bluetooth V1.2 mobility.
FocusIND provides an aggressive bar-code scanning solution for demanding environments. With its IP65 rating, FocusIND addresses bar-code scanning challenges in a diverse group of verticals.
With the OptimusR batch-data collection mobile computer, Metrologic provides another rugged IP65-rated solution. It rapidly uploads and downloads data via a direct-connection option which makes a separate terminal cradle unnecessary and lowers cost of ownership.
OptimusR comes with 2MB of data memory and additional memory options for accommodating larger inventories are also available. It features user- friendly navigation and software development tools for customizing applications.
Metrologic will also exhibit its complete line of single-line and omnidirectional bar code scanners, mobile computers and area imagers tailored for retail applications.
