Retail's Big Show Kicks Off Company's Year-long Celebration of Its 40th Anniversary
BLACKWOOD, N.J., Jan. 14 - Metrologic Instruments, Inc. announced that beginning today it is showcasing ten new offerings from its expanding product portfolio at the National Retail Federation's (NRF) 97th Annual Expo held at the Javits Center (Booth #1345) in New York.
Metrologic has also chosen the event as the kick-off site for the year-long celebration of its 40th anniversary as one of the world's leading developers of advanced bar code scanning technology.
"NRF begins what we expect to be an exciting year at Metrologic," said Mark Schmidt, the company's vice president of product management and marketing. Metrologic ELITE(TM) products increase productivity in retail POS environments with unmatched levels of elegance, performance and sophistication. Metrologic INDUSTRIAL(TM) products symbolize the company's commitment to providing durable and rugged bar code scanners for demanding environments such as distribution centers and warehouses.

Still in their pilot phase, Metrologic NOVOdisplay® products will give retailers the power to update price changes across a single store or a nationwide chain in just seconds by combining the freedom of wireless communications with the flexibility of electronic paper.

7. IS1650 - the self-contained, plug-and-play area imager for self-service kiosks or point-of-service
8. IS4910 - a non-decoded miniature 1.2-mega-pixel area imaging OEM scan engine
9. IS4920 - a miniature 1.2-mega-pixel area imaging OEM scan engine with a hardware decoder
10. NOVOdisplay eDisplays - wireless communication and electronic paper combine to ensure accuracy while reducing overhead
