Harleysville, PA - Raymond J. De Hont, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Met-Pro Corporation (NYSE:MPR), announced today that the Company's Environmental Air Solutions business unit has received an order, totaling more than $1.8 million, to supply process and air pollution control equipment to a major alternative energy company for the purification of landfill gases. The order is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of the Company's current fiscal year.
On the process side, Met-Pro Environmental Air Solutions' unique de-oxygenation system technology, used in conjunction with a Duall Brand wet scrubber and wastewater neutralization system, will purify the methane gas stream harvested from the landfill operations increasing the service life of downstream equipment. On the air pollution side, a Met-Pro Systems brand regenerative thermal oxidizer will treat the waste gases from the landfill gas separation process.
