MENLO PARK, Calif. and KITCHENER, Ontario, May 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Medicalis® Corporation, a provider of radiology outreach solutions, and MITEM Corporation, a provider of laboratory outreach solutions, today announced the signing of a co-marketing agreement for diagnostic order entry solutions. The agreement will provide a common platform and single source for access to Medicalis Percipio(TM) and Blue Iris Dr. Chart® clinical applications, allowing healthcare providers to facilitate and accelerate care through better management of diagnostic orders.
Dr. Chart, part of the Blue Iris family of MITEM-owned products, is a complete connectivity application that links laboratories efficiently and securely to the healthcare providers they serve. Dr. Chart enables healthcare providers to initiate lab orders, check medical necessity compliance and view results rapidly and accurately using a secure Internet connection.
Medicalis Percipio is a radiology order entry and decision support solution that connects radiology clinics with their ordering communities. Percipio is used to create and schedule imaging orders, check order appropriateness and provide online access to results.
The similar solution approach used by Medicalis and MITEM will create immediate benefits for healthcare providers with the desire to simplify the physician ordering process, further extend outreach efforts, and promote customer satisfaction in both radiology and laboratory services. At the same time, capture of order information will streamline internal workflows, increase reimbursement and facilitate adherence with benefits management programs.
