Press release date: February 20, 2008

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Feb. 20 / - MedQuist Inc. the leading national provider of medical transcription outsourcing and clinical documentation workflow solutions, announces that it will be highlighting a new, Web-based version of its mobile dictation application, PhysAssist IQ(TM), at HIMSS 2008 in Orlando, Florida. This latest software release gives physicians more flexibility over documenting at the point of care, using familiar mobile devices including "flip" phones, Smartphones, PDAs and Tablet PCs.

"We are excited to offer IQMax's new browser-based mobile technology as part of our PhysAssist IQ solution. It further strengthens our industry-leading product offerings and emphasizes MedQuist's commitment to offering our customers and the healthcare market integrated solutions that lower healthcare costs, increase efficiency, and improve quality of care," stated Emmy Weber, vice president of Product Marketing at MedQuist.

Using Internet-enabled mobile devices to dictate allows caregivers to document patient encounters anytime, anywhere. The voice file is automatically and securely uploaded to MedQuist's Enterprise Platform to complete the document creation workflow.

Other key features and benefits of MedQuist's PhysAssist IQ, powered by IQMax Inc., include:

o Easy navigation, for use with a stylus or finger. o From a "pick list," the physician gets detailed patient demographics, location, and rounding information including labs, medications, and all types of reports. o Reduced telecom costs in the transcription process. o Leverage of both Wi-Fi and cellular broadband networks, allowing caregivers to stay connected to clinical information at all times, across all care settings.

"Bringing dictation to wireless phones (cell phones and mobile devices) will enable caregivers to streamline their documentation processes, reduce costs and drive revenue while eliminating unnecessary steps in their documentation workflow," says Paul Adkison, founder and CEO of IQMax.

MedQuist is the largest Medical Transcription Service Organization (MTSO) in the world, and a leader in technology-enabled clinical documentation workflow. MedQuist's enterprise solutions - including mobile voice capture devices, speech recognition, Web-based workflow platforms, and global network of medical editors - help healthcare facilities improve patient care, increase physician satisfaction, and lower operational costs.
