McGee Appointed Marathon Quality Manager


David McGee has been appointed Quality Manager for Marathon Equipment Company, the Vernon, Ala.-based manufacturer of waste-handling, recycling, and scrap-processing equipment. David is responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes across all Marathon locations.

David brings 23 years of combined experience in manufacturing, engineering, and technical services to the appointment, including more than a decade as a manager/supervisor. "With David's many years of experience in both service and manufacturing, he brings to the position enormous amounts of product knowledge and an understanding of our customers' expectations. Aligning our current quality processes into a Quality Assurance System will require significant cooperation and communication between all key operating areas in Marathon," comments Marathon Director of Operations, Joe Beall.

As Quality Manager, David will design and implement inspection, audit and quality process reports, train key personnel on inspection techniques, rules, and documentation processes, monitor and conduct on- and off-site product inspections and audits, conduct customer visits and respond to off-site quality issues when necessary. David affirms, "The development of the Quality Assurance System is a straightforward indication that Marathon is genuinely concerned with the quality and longevity of our products. In a nutshell, our goal is to provide second-to-none quality systems and services to our customers."
