McAfee's embedding of PostX technology into its products enables McAfee to scan all outbound email traffic to determine the appropriate action to comply with regulations such as HIPAA, GLBA and the EU Directive.

The new Email Compliance module from McAfee scans email headers, body and attachments for a wide variety of personal information and/or financial information. When sensitive information is detected within an email, the technology identifies the content and takes the appropriate action, including routing the message for encryption with PostX and/or blocking it.
