Florence, Kentucky, February 26, 2009 - Mazak today announced the transfer of ownership of Machinery Resources Inc (MRI). Butch Cummisky and David James recently purchased the Oklahoma-based company after previous owner Rick Engles decided to retire from the business.
"MRI has been family-owned and operated since my cousins Ray and Rick Engles opened it in 1984," said Butch Cummisky, Sales Manager, Machinery Resources Inc. "As a result, we take a tremendous amount of pride in our operations and intend to grow the business from the solid foundation established by the Engles family."
MRI is approaching 25 years as the official distributor of Mazak machine tools for Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. The company will continue to operate out of its 9,800 sq-ft Tulsa facility, where customers are treated to product training, applications support and demonstrations on Mazak lathes and mills.
"We provide service and support to more than 1,500 customers in our region," said Mr. Cummisky. "Our relationship with Mazak allows us to not only provide each shop with outstanding service and support but some of the best machine tools on the market as well."
