Elk Grove Village, IL - BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc. now offers the most accurate and flexible Capto systems available. In 2008, Capto was adopted as an ISO standard connection (ISO26623), and will become more common industry-wide. Although this opens the door for any manufacturer to begin production of the complex design, BIG Kaiser has been a Capto licensee for eight years.
BIG Kaiser's production expertise delivers a premium Capto line with the highest level of precision and flexibility for multi-tasking operations. As a licensee, BIG Kaiser has full support from the original manufacturer, including form inspection with an ultra precise CMM.
Many turning operations are now being performed on the new breed of seven- and nine-axis mill-turn centers. BIG Kaiser developed a new turning program specifically for this new breed of machine. It includes 45° tilt-style approach tools, traditional 90° approach tools, and standard tool holders. The 45° tools allow for shorter tools and higher productivity, and are available in integral and modular assemblies. Standard tool holders such as boring bar and square tool holders are also available.
Other expansions to the BIG Kaiser Capto product line include Mega Micro and Shrink Fit holders, extended gage lengths for the Mega N and Mega E series, and more than 500 rotating and turning tools available from stock.
BIG Kaiser offers a complete line of tool holder styles to fit every application and spindle type, including BIG-PLUS, HSK and Capto. The BIG collet chuck program offers the world's best runout of .00004-inch T.I.R. The full program of rotating tool holders includes drill and reamer holders, milling chucks, modular connections (KA, ABS), and standard tool holders (EM, SM, SF, etc.).
