Industrial Conveying (Aust) Pty Ltd
PO Box 106
Victoria, 3552
Australia

Press release date: November 22, 2010

One of Australia's top industrial materials handling specialists has expanded its capacity to manufacture ahead of what seems as a likely growth spurt for the country's manufacturing sector.

With many commentators in mainstream business media voicing expectation of increased industrial activity as of the 2011 calendar year, Industrial Conveying (Aust) Pty Ltd has added floor space to its primary manufacturing plant in Bendigo, Victoria, and increased the expertise to the nerve centre of operations -- its engineering design office in Melbourne.

It has done so to serve the expected growth in most industry sectors including food processing, general industrial, waste handling and processing, logistics and transport, mining and quarrying as well as the packaging and sorting sectors.

Managing Director of Industrial Conveying, Mr Don Erskine, said Australian industry is not only about to enter a new wave of positive growth, it is also aiming for higher technologies to stay competitive in the global market with other advanced economies.

"The next wave of investment in capital equipment will represent a technological shift where most companies are looking for as much modern automation as possible delivered by a turnkey solution," said Mr Erskine.

"In recent years, Australian industry has shown a tendency to look to a local supplier for closer technical association and a faster availability of aftermarket assistance and parts.

"This is why we have increased our own capacity to take on board new 'design and construct' work which looks certain to be on the way.

"From our national manufacturing base in Bendigo and our design office in Melbourne, we already are successfully handling all types of automated materials handling projects -- from the very small to extremely large fitouts - across all industry sectors."

Located in Bendigo, Victoria, Industrial Conveying specialises in waste sortation systems, materials handling, truck trailer customisation, transporting raw materials, processed materials and finished products for a diverse range of manufacturing industries, mining and quarrying.

Designs and solutions include: process development, process engineering, primary equipment design, automation & control systems, manufacture & supply, installation, commissioning, training, efficiency upgrades, and quality control to ISO 9000.

ICA was formed in 1979 and until recently was privately owned by one Director, Don Erskine. Mr Erskine transferred 49% ownership of the manufacturing business to his loyal employees. The new General Manager is an experienced, longstanding employee, Mr Bruce Granger.

Currently employing approximately 200 personnel throughout Australia, the company has also received a significant number of project orders that have been successfully completed in many countries including Greece, Hungary, Uzbekistan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Vietnam, Laos, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
