Mastry to Host ABYC Diesel Engine Course in August

Continuing its longstanding commitment to technical education, Mastry Engine Center will again host an American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) course. The Marine Diesel Engine and Support Systems Certification program will be held August 7-10 in Mastry's fully equipped classroom in St. Petersburg, Florida.

ABYC master technician Dwight Escalera will lead the class, with Mastry staff also contributing their expertise. Mastry regularly assists ABYC by hosting certification courses, most recently in January. "Ongoing education is an important component in enabling companies to deliver professional service. We're proud to offer continued support to ABYC," said Kevin Carlan, Mastry general manager.

The program supplements factory-sponsored training with an industry-recognized certification of knowledge for troubleshooting and installations. It covers all diesel systems and ends with an ABYC certification exam. Details are available at http://www.abycinc.org/educationprograms.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Mastry is a marine and industrial engine distributor specializing in OEM and repower projects. The company also offers its own training programs, ranging from basic marine diesel maintenance to industrial Tier 4 emissions regulations.
