Marc Leclair Onboard To Streamline Epec's Operations


[New Bedford, MA  – Epec Engineered Technologies is a manufacturing company that specializes in build to print electronics for all sectors of the electronics industry. Epec would like to announce the rehire of Marc Leclair as Vice President of Operations.



Marc’s specialties are start-up operations for new products, operations, strategic deployment, and leader for performance excellence initiatives. Mr. Leclair holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Additionally he earned a Master of Science Degree in Quality Assurance from California State University, in part by conducting research on Quality Assurance methods and their effects on profitability.



Marc comes to Epec from LMC Industries; a leader in automotive safety components, based in St. Louis MO. Marc headed the corporate initiatives for operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Prior to this  Mr. Leclair spent 15 years working in product development, QA, and operations in the Automatic–Identification industry working for industry  leaders Datamax and Zebra as well as the industry start-up Source Technologies.



Mr. Leclair offers an industry focus on electronic product development and manufacturing.  He is versed in aspects of the corporate transition and performance excellence initiatives: from strategic deployment, six sigma project management, lean operations, all the way through to workforce development.

In Marc’s prior role as QA Manager at Epec, he helped to customize our ERP system for the needs of our industry and the global supply chain. He helped to develop the original quality scorecard, driving down product defects and product cost.



Marc is an active member in ASQ, formerly known as the American Society for Quality, where he’s held many leadership roles such as section chair and web master. In Charlotte NC, he founded the section’s Community Outreach program, which provides pro bono services to help non-profit organizations streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve their product and service quality. He’s also served as a public speaker and a teacher, presenting on various topics like Cost of Quality and Quality Engineering.
