Marantz to Showcase Advanced AOI Systems at Productronica 2007, Hall A4.380

Marantz Business Electronics is preparing to exhibit its advanced Automated Inspection expertise at this year's Productronica. Being held in Munich over November 13th - 16th, Productronica 2007 will see the Marantz team introduce visitors to its popular 24-bit colour inspection technology and state-of-the-art systems from Hall A4, Stand 380.

Among the highlights on the Marantz stand, the company's Business Electronics team will be demonstrating the L22XDL-520 in-line AOI system. Designed to simultaneously maximise operator productivity and control, this machine delivers fast programming, reliable detection and true 24-7 operation, all on a single in-line platform.

Appearing alongside the L22XDL-520 will be the benchtop systems M22XDL-460 and M22XDL-350 featuring the smallest footprint of all the machines in the Marantz range of desktop AOI systems. Delivering exceptional inspection accuracy for PCBs, including SMT and THT components, reflow and wave solder joints, and solder paste, the M22XDL-350/460 will be on display from Hall A4, Stand 380.

As Productronica visitors will discover, every Marantz AOI system features the company's pioneering true 24-bit colour imaging. This breakthrough technology is designed to extend the amount of data available to operators per pixel, dramatically enhancing defect detection while minimising false alarms. 24-bit processing discerns subtle changes for improved image clarity, helping to separate components and solder images from the background board or substrate. Deploying the technology in combination with its innovative lighting concept, the Marantz systems overcome the limitations of 8-bit greyscale imaging to dramatically improve defect detection.

In addition to showcasing this innovative technology on proven Marantz systems, the Marantz team will also be on hand for the duration of the show to introduce visitors to the very latest additions to its comprehensive machine range. To find out more, visit Hall A4, Stand 380.

About Marantz Business Electronics

Well known for high quality Audio/Video products, Marantz developed its first AOI system in 1994. Developed to inspect PCB assemblies for correct component placement and soldering, the AOI system was designed for use in Marantz's own factories. Proving to be a highly successful, cost-effective alternative to traditional human inspection, Marantz developed its first generation commercial system in 1996. With a steadily growing installed base, Marantz Business Electronics has now sold over 3,500 units worldwide.
