Southington, Conn. - March 17, 2011... Christ Makris has joined Baumer Ltd. as a Product Marketing Manager. In his new position, Mr. Makris will develop internal and external marketing and training strategies to support and promote Baumer's inductive, capacitive, magnetic photoelectric, laser and mycom sensor lines.
Mr. Makris brings to his new position 20 years of marketing and engineering experience, with a strong focus in the industrial automation and controls market. For the last 5 years, he served as product marketing manager and program manager for Diehl Controls in Naperville, Illinois, where he focused on the appliance controls and smart grid markets. Mr. Makris also represented Carlo Gavazzi as a product manager for 10 years focusing on the food/beverage, plastic equipment and packaging markets.
Mr. Makris earned an MBA from Benedictine University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. He currently resides in Palos Hills, Illinois.
